NHS Health Career Role:
I’m a Head of HR in mental health and communities Trust with a specialist interest in Medical Staffing (HR for doctors)
I am responsible for a team that provides an HR service to one of our Division. I also manage the team that recruit doctors, manages trainee doctor rotations and supports with resolving conflict and performance issues that arise with Medical Staff.
My Typical Day:
Each day is very different but might involve meeting a manage to advise them about dealing with a complaint, writing a workforce report for a Board meeting, a 121 with one of my team, out visiting a service to help them plan a team restructure, in a meeting about reasonable adjustments for staff with disabilities.
Spending the Prize Money:
I would start a scheme of shadowing days in our Trust
